SOS Cafe

We found this absolute gem of a cafe this year in the heart of South Yarra, and can't get enough of it. SOS (Save Our Souls) has everything we look for in a cafe. They use quality organic, biodynamic and locally sourced ingredients, and present all of their dishes beautifully. There are so many great options on the menu, which makes it impossible not to go back and try them all. Their menu caters for a range of dietary requirements such as gluten free, dairy free and vegan, however their main focus is much like ours when we cook. It's all about swapping out the bad stuff for the good.

The interior of SOS is beautiful. It's cozy on the inside and perfect if you want to pop in for a coffee by yourself and get some work done. We both absolutely love the outside of the cafe. It is open and bright, and is fully covered which is always necessary with Melbourne's unpredictable weather.

The atmosphere of the cafe is what made it the perfect venue for our first KIC event. We invited 50 of our favourite foodies and bloggers along to an afternoon tea at SOS last month. The team at SOS helped us set up two long tables outside, with one round table in the centre showcasing our afternoon treats we had prepared for everyone. We made some of our old favourites from our Keep It Clean e book, and also shared a few of our newbies which will be coming soon to Keep it Cleaner. The lovely team at Daily Blooms set our tables with beautiful Australian inspired floral arrangements and we had our favourite Karmic Cold Pressed juices for everyone to enjoy. Our guests were also spoilt by some very special brands with a goodie bag filled with some of our favourite things. A big thank you to KX Pilates, FRANK Bod, SWISSE Skincare, Pure Harvest, Mayvers, Bikram Yoga Prahran, MINGLE seasoning, Matcha Maiden, Golden Grind, Raw C and Eleven Australia.

It's hard to pick (with such an amazing menu) but to finish off this post on SOS we decided to share our favourite dishes.

STEPH: My go to is the 'The Avo', but when I feel like switching it up I'll go for 'The Hipster Jar'! I also LOVE the 'Sweet Juice.'

LAURA: I can't go past the 'Primal Plate.' The combination of avo, eggs and pumpkin is delicious! SOS also use my favourite almond milk, Almond Milk Co and make the creamiest almond milk latte.
